Growing up in Asia and later in Europe, I have always
enjoyed travelling and getting to know people from
diverse cultures and their different outlooks on life.
The communication of this transcultural inspiration
forms the core of my art practice. By creating certain
moods, a beautiful idea or a happy feeling,
I try to share them with an open-minded viewer.
I'd like to invite you on a journey to see things through my eyes.
Take your time and enjoy yourself.
If you could see that my greys are all yellow and pink
How I breathe in a beat when I sleep
How I like to collect smiles from people I see
in the subways, in trains and the streets.
If you could see that my roots aren't in places but hearts
How I love scars and braces and dents
That my coffeemug stains on the table are really
big friendly elephants.
'Cause I'd like for you to see things from a view
Which is different from ones that you know
And then I would like to be in that view, too
And stay there for a little while.
